My name is Montana and I am the Jump Rope for Heart Field Officer who supports schools across the country! The main thing I love about working here is teaching students about the importance of physical activity in maintaining good heart health, but also learning lots of new skipping tricks. My favourite is the pretzel!
I am Monique and I joined the Jump Rope for Heart Team in mid-2019. I look after schools running our program in SA, ACT as well as NSW regions to the north of Sydney. I believe Jump Rope has a huge impact on our younger generation. Our program provides a forum for our younger generation to engage in physical activity as well as developing an awareness of the importance of heart health.
My name is Jason and I look after Tasmania, Victoria and schools south of Sydney. My first experience of with Jump Rope for Heart was when my school participated in the program when I was in Year 1 – I loved learning all the skipping tricks I could! I joined the Jump Rope for Heart team in April 2019 and have cherished every moment. Jump Rope is an awesome experience for students as it promotes physical activity and creates awareness around the impacts of heart disease in Australia. I believe it is important students are educated on how they can look after their hearts and support families who have been affected.
Hi, I’m Jen, I am the Jump Rope for Heart Field Officer who looks after QLD, NT and NSW. I joined the Heart Foundation in 2019 and love working with students and teachers, to skip and share the importance of physical activity. One of my favourite parts of the job is hearing people’s stories and why they are motivated to raise funds and help us win the fight against heart disease.
My name is Alex Fernandez and I am the Jump Rope for Heart Field Officer for New South Wales and Western Australian Schools. I attended St George Christian School in Sydney during my childhood, where I participated in the Jump Rope for Heart program from 2003-2006. Karen Binns was the program coordinator/skipping coach and is still coordinating the program at St George Christian school every single year. This is proof that Jump Rope for Heart is an excellent example of how a school physical activity program can have a huge benefit on academic performance, whilst also creating awareness and promoting heart health to Australian students.
I love to listen to music and skip to the rhythm. I find One Direction has the best jumping jams but don’t judge me on that
