Meet Yusuf - one of our amazing Jump Rope for Heart participants who doesn't let his pace maker get in the way of skipping and having fun!

The Heart Foundation’s lifesaving research and health projects are funded almost entirely by donations.

Each year, the Heart Foundation renews its commitment to fund the best and brightest researchers in Australia.

We have invested more than $200 million over the past 50 years to support outstanding research into the cause, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease in the Australian community. Such major achievements include:

  • The artificial pacemaker
  • The introduction of intensive coronary care units in hospitals
  • The development of imaging techniques
  • Establishment of the emergency 000 phone number
  • Establishment of Australia’s first mobile intensive care ambulances
  • Development of improved treatments for high blood pressure, heart failure, kidney damage and blood vessel disease

Without generous public support, we would not be able to carry out our work towards ensuring Australians have the best cardiovascular health in the world.

We have partnered with online fundraising specialists Everydayhero for children to fundraise for Jump Rope for Heart. Together you can set up a personal page for your kids and invite family and friends to sponsor them in a secure online environment.
